Rustic welness

Experience the relaxing sensation of soaking in a hot tub while stars shimmer above you and the northern lights dance across the sky. Meanwhile, the surrounding nature creates a deep sense of calm.

Afterwards, lean back in our quiet relax room and enjoy the breath-taking landscape around you. Moreover, the sauna has large windows facing both mountains and ocean, allowing nature to become part of the experience.

From here, you can step straight onto the pier and take a refreshing dip in the ocean, no matter the season. As a result, warmth and cold meet in a way that clears both body and mind.

Finally, Lofotspa is a perfect experience if you need to relax after a long journey, warm up after mountain hiking, or clear your head after a full day of meetings.

Well-being

Become part of the northern Norwegian nature with a heated bath in our outdoor spas. Here, you can sit back and enjoy the beauty around you — whether it is the midnight sun in summer or, from autumn to spring, a clear starry sky with northern lights dancing above.

Meanwhile, our sauna features large windows facing mighty mountains and the beautiful Vestfjord. As a result, you can relax fully and clear your mind while nature remains close at all times.

From the sauna, you can take a refreshing dip in crystal-clear sea water straight from our floating jetty, both in summer and winter. Finally, Lofotspa is perfect after a ski trip, a mountain hike, or before enjoying a tasty meal in our restaurant.

Practical Information – Lofotspa

Arrival and use of the spa

Upon arrival, please contact reception. Here, you will complete payment and receive a bathrobe and towel. At the same time, your reservation gives you free access to all spa facilities for a period of two hours. If this is your first visit, we will gladly give you a short introduction so you can feel comfortable and prepared before your stay begins.

There are cloakrooms available in the spa area. However, if you are an overnight guest at Nyvågar, you are also welcome to use your rorbu for changing and showering. This way, you can choose what feels most convenient for you.

Sauna, hot tub and sea bathing

Before using either the sauna or the hot tub, all guests must shower. In addition, please rinse your feet before entering the hot tub. A towel must always be used as a seating surface in the sauna. Afterwards, if you have visited the sauna and/or bathed in the sea, everyone is asked to shower again before returning to the hot tub.

In the upstairs spa lounge, a bathrobe must always be worn, while towels are left downstairs. Furthermore, nudity is not permitted in either the sauna or the hot tub. Lofotspa is a quiet zone, and therefore we kindly ask all guests to show consideration for others and keep noise to a minimum.

Guidelines and serving

Children over the age of 12 are welcome when accompanied by a parent. Meanwhile, bringing food or drinks from outside is not permitted. Personal belongings may be stored at reception or in your cabin; however, Lofotspa cannot be held responsible for loss, theft or damage. The spa is non-smoking, and for this reason, any verbal or non-verbal inappropriate behaviour is not allowed. Above all, all forms of sexual activity are strictly prohibited.

Tea and iced water are available in the upstairs lounge and are included in the admission price. In addition, a separate drinks menu is available. Orders can be placed at check-in, or alternatively by calling +47 76 06 97 00. Finally, we ask for your understanding that all beverages are served in unbreakable glasses.
